Programs
Shared Harvest Food Bank was founded in 1983. Our core program is to collect, warehouse, transport and distribute contributions of wholesome surplus food and other grocery style products to more than 100 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and similar nonprofits in Butler, Warren, Preble, Darke and Miami counties. Shared Harvest also administers USDA’s Emergency Food Assistance Program for four sister Foodbank’s serving an additional 26 Ohio counties.
Senior Program
CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program)
A federally funded nutrition program that provides a monthly box of 40 pounds of nutritious supplemental food for persons over age 60 who reside in Butler, Warren, Preble, Darke and Miami counties and whose income is at or below 130% of the federal poverty line.

Backpack
Program
Our backpack program provides nutritious and easy to prepare foods to elementary and Head Start students for the weekend. This is provided to children who exhibit signs of chronic hunger, identified by their teachers, counselors or other school staff through behaviors such as rushing school lines, poor attendance and classroom participation, and hoarding food.

Drive-thru Food Distributions
Onsite, Friday afternoons 1pm-3pm we provide fresh and shelf stable items. Registration is required as inventory is limited. Please call our Help Center to get registered. Please bring a photo ID and a piece of mail.
We also host offsite distributions once a month in Miami, Preble and Darke County. Recipients are able to drive up, check in, and have their car loaded without needing to get out of the vehicle. Please bring a photo ID and a piece of mail.
